There are two versions of SunHaus to purchase - Lite and Loaded. SunHaus Lite is for those that want to deck out their space with custom fixtures fittings and finishes. It's basically a beautiful wooden box that generates power. Its applications are limited only by your imagination. It costs £24,000 plus VAT.

SunHaus Loaded comes with lighting, heating, hot water, ventilation, bathroom, kitchen, sleeping platform and stairs. It costs £39,000 plus VAT.

These prices include all fees, surveys and £1,500 towards delivery and installation. Most installations are covered within this allowance, but some are more complicated and time-consuming. We can estimate from a Google Maps view and will firm up any additional delivery and installation charges after your survey.

PLANNING
Do I need planning permission?
In most circumstances you will NOT require planning permission for a SunHaus which is designed to fall within the criteria for permitted development in most locations.

If permission is required – and we can guide you on whether or not this is the case – due to location (e.g. roadside) or other restrictions such as you being in a conservation area, then we can provide all the drawing details required for your planning application.
General Construction Information
How long do modular buildings last?
Our buildings are designed to be permanent, durable structures made from cross laminated timber and designed in accordance with euro code zero to exceed 60 years lifespan with minimal upkeep.
Do you do foundations and connect all services?
Yes. We offer a full turn-key service, delivering a building that is ready to use within a day.
What foundations do you use?
We install a fully engineered foundation solution appropriate for the ground conditions on site. Normally this consists of helical screw piles or concrete pads.
What are the cladding/facade options?
SunHaus comes with integrated solar cladding as standard providing attractive rainscreen weatherproofing as well as free clean renewable power.
What is the roof?
The roof is designed to maximise light. It is made from EPDM over large format engineered timber.
How do you heat the buildings?
SunHaus has an airtight thermally efficient building envelope and a ventilation system with heat recovery, so it doesn't take much heating. But when it needs heat it relies on a super efficient direct electric fan system.
What warranties and guarantees do you offer?
We offer a 5-year warranty on the structure, a 1 year warranty on the fixtures and fittings and a 20-year manufacturer’s warranty on the roof covering. Other components do have extended warranties; details on these will be provided on request.
How is the hot water heated?
Tucked neatly away in the Mechanical & Electrical pod, SunHaus has a small efficient direct electric immersion heater.

Net zero & sustainability credentials
The SunHaus is a Net Zero building
The buildings are Net Zero carbon, whereby the solar panels generate more renewable energy than you will use.
The excess energy is either sent back to the grid or (if you take the Powerwall) stored in your battery.

Energy estimations – generation and usage
How economical are the buildings to run?
The buildings are Net Zero carbon, which deliver Net Zero running costs.

As well as renewable energy from solar panels we also use LED lighting throughout our buildings as well as ‘AA’ rated air source heat pumps for heating. Our insulation ‘U’ values are very high and as they are fitted with integrated PV wall panels, we deliver an A+ rated building.
Environment matters
SunHaus buildings are developed with the environment in mind; by creating beautiful yet innovative designs.

We pride ourselves in using the latest developments in technology as part of our build process to help reduce the impact on our fragile planet.
Our mission is to transform the speed, cost and environmental impact of all new buildings.
Materials
The materials we use in the construction of our buildings are integral to our sustainable and low carbon credentials.
The foundations have been designed to reduce impact by using a minimal amount of concrete.
The timber comes from sustainable forests.

These forests are meeting the needs of the present without compromising the future generations.
Managers follow a land stewardship ethic which integrates the reforestation, growing, nurturing and harvesting of trees for useful products with the conservation of soil, air, and water quality, and wildlife and fish habitat.
